Resumo: Deus nos ajuda a passar do medo à fé rapidamente.

Algumas coisas fazem com que tenhamos medo. Deus não quer que sejamos medrosos. Pense por um momento no que pode assustar você. Alguns de nós têm medo quando as luzes se apagam de repente durante uma tempestade e ficam no escuro. Alguns de nós podem se assustar e ter medo de um barulho alto, como quando uma bexiga estoura ou algum carro por perto buzina. Ou com isso [fazer um barulho alto com o seu material de escolha]. Vocês se assustaram? [escute as respostas] Deus nos deu um “reflexo de susto” para nos ajudar quando estamos em perigo. Isso faz com que nosso coração acelere e nos dá energia extra para fugir. Os versos da Bíblia que veremos hoje são sobre como nós devemos passar rapidamente do medo (estar com medo) à fé (acreditar em Deus), independente do que aconteça.

Esse verso é sobre o milagre de Jesus para trazer a filha de Jairo de volta à vida. Imagine ver o pai de uma garotinha de 12 anos. Quando ele pediu por ajuda, seus amigos disseram a ele que sua filha tinha morrido. Jesus ajudou o pai a acreditar em Deus naquele momento e disse a ele estas palavras muito importantes: Não tenha medo; tão-somente creia, e ela será curada. Nós devemos acreditar em Jesus quando estivermos com medo para que nosso medo se transforme em paz. Você sabe como essa história terminou: Jesus a chamou de volta à vida e ela reviveu!

E se você achasse que estivesse vendo um fantasma! Isso seria assustador! Os discípulos (seguidores de Jesus) estavam em um barco tarde da noite, cruzando um lago, e o vento estava soprando e fazendo grandes ondas. Eles viram Jesus andando sobre a água e acharam que estavam vendo um espírito (fantasma). Eles gritaram de medo. Mas Jesus não queria que eles tivessem medo e disse a eles: Coragem! Sou eu. Não tenham medo! (Mateus 14:27) Mesmo em momentos em que tivermos medo, Jesus quer que confiemos nele. Jesus acaba com a tempestade em nós (nos acalma) antes de acabar com a tempestade.

Jesus sempre busca a nossa fé em Deus. Jesus diz para buscarmos Deus em tudo o que fazemos, que Deus irá satisfazer todas as nossas necessidades. Nós servimos a um Deus de amor, que quer que fiquemos felizes com a bondade Dele. No sermão da montanha, Jesus disse: Não tenham medo, pequeno rebanho, pois foi do agrado do Pai dar-lhes o Reino.(Lucas 12:32) Conforme crescemos, Deus quer que “cresçamos” espiritualmente para nos tornarmos cristãos mais maduros. Isso significa que quando estivermos passando por situações difíceis devemos passar o mais rápido possível do medo à fé, acreditando em Deus em todas as circunstâncias.

Oremos. Querido Senhor Jesus, nos dê coragem para acreditar no Senhor. Ajude-nos a passar rapidamente do medo à fé. Amém.
