Texto: Juan 4:3-30; Gálatas 3:28

Objeto: Un tarro o cuba de agua.

Resumen: Jesús encontró a la mujer samaritana por el pozo. Jesús nos encuentra donde estamos y nos ofrece vida eterna.

(Comienza tarareando o cantando “Jack y Jill fueron a la colina a buscar una cuba de agua”) ¿Alguna vez escuchaste la rima del cuarto de niños acerca de Jack y Jill? (Escucha respuestas.) Podría usar esta cuba para sacar agua del pozo. (Muestra el tarro o cuba de agua) Hoy quiero compartir una historia del evangelio de Juan acerca de una mujer que conoció a Jesús en un pozo.

Jesús estaba en su camino a la tierra de Galiliea. Sus discípulos estaban probablemente un poco nerviosos. Jesús había decidido ir directamente a la región de Samaria- y los Samaritanos no se llevaban bien con los judíos (Vecino Samaritano). Jesús estaba cansado y sediento y se sentó a descansar al lado del pozo de Jacob. Envió a sus discípulos a comprar carne en la cuidad cercana de Sychar.

Al mediodía una mujer samaritana vino por ella misma a sacar agua del pozo. La mayoría de las mujeres iban temprano a la mañana o tarde a la tarde cuando estaba más fresco. Iban en grupos por seguridad y para hablar con sus amigas. Esta mujer probablemente vino al mediodía para evitarlas. Tenía una mala reputación y muchas de ellas no le hablarían. Luego Jesús la sorprendió pidiéndole que le diera algo para beber.

(Lea en voz alta Juan 4:9-15.) Jesús tiene una forma de encontrarnos donde estamos y ofreciéndonos lo que necesitamos. ¡Seguramente necesitaba agua para vivir pero Jesús le ofreció una forma de vivir para siempre! A Jesús no le importaba si ella era samaritana, o que era mujer, o que era una pecadora. Cuando la miró el la vio como una persona creada en la imagen de Dios. A ¡Jesús le importan todos! Ya no hay judío ni griego, esclavo ni libre, hombre ni mujer, sino que todos ustedes son uno solo en Cristo Jesús. – Gálatas 3:28.

Entonces Jesús se ocupó se su pecado. Jesús le dijo cosas de su vida personal que ella no pensaba que un extraño las sabría. Estaba soprendida de lo que sabía de ella. Trató de cambiar de tema con una discusión religiosa acerca de donde adorar. Él le hizo saber que lo que importa no es saber acerca de la religión, es saber quien es él. En vez de cambiar de tema él cambiaba su vida por lo que le decía.

(Lea en voz alta Juan 4:23,24.) Jesús dijo que no le importaba donde adorabas mientras adores a Dios sinceramente, en espíritu y verdad.

Luego fue al punto. Le dijo algo que no se lo había contado a nadie hasta entonces: le dijo que él era el Mesías que estaba esperando. Eso cambiaba su vida completamente. De repente se dio cuenta que no era un vidente de Sychar sino el Salvador de los Samaritanos. Ella estaba tan contenta que dejó su tarro de agua y fue a la ciudad a contarles a los otros que se había encontrado a Jesús en el pozo. Mucha gente vino a creer en Jesús como su Mesías porque a ella le importaban lo suficiente como para contarles la buena noticia.

Mientras tanto, los discípulos regresaron de la ciudad. Como era usual no entendían por qué Jesús estaba rompiendo todas sus tradiciones. Los hombres no hablaban con mujeres extrañas en público. Los judíos no hablaban con los samaritanos. Los hombres solo enseñaban a los hombres la religión en público. Una vez más el estaba cambiando su manera de pensar al revés. Se preguntaban que estaba haciendo. ¡Mientras estaban ocupados comprando el almuerzo, la primera mujer evangelista se dirigía a Samaria!

Jesús está esperando en el pozo de tu vida también. Está listo para aceptarte como eres, de donde eres, por quien eres hoy. Todos somos pecadores. Necesitamos a Jesús en nuestras vidas. Está listo para ofrecer la vida eterna a todos los que lo adorarán en espíritu y verdad.
