A mostrar: Un menú de envío de pizzas

Resumen: El hacer un gran trabajo es posible cuando el mismo trae gloria al Creador de todas las cosas: Jesús. Puedes hacer grandes obras con la ayuda de Dios.

Hoy traje un menú de envío de pizzas. ¿A quienes le gusta la pizza? ¿Qué cosas les gusta que tenga su pizza? (Escuche las respuestas). Lo bueno es que tu escoges lo que más te gusta y pide que te lo pongan en la pizza. Esta lista tiene una pizza llamada “una obra con todo” y tiene de todo en ella. Nuestra historia bíblica es acerca de todo lo que hizo Jesús y todo lo que podemos hacer.

¡Qué tremendo! Jesús prometió que haríamos cosas, trabajos, u obras mayores que las que él hizo. La palabra para trabajo está relacionada con la palabra “ergon”, del griego, que significa trabajo que se medía por la cantidad de calor o esfuerzo que tomaba el hacerlo.

Imagínense por un momento que tuvieras que rastrillar tú solo las hojas de una gran área de hierba. Si tuvieras guantes, un rastrillo y bolsas para echar las hojas recogidas, probablemente te tomaría varias horas de labor fuerte y, debido al calor, mucho sudor. Pero, ¿qué si le pidieras a tu papá que te ayudara y además tuvieras un soplador eléctrico (electric blower), con un accesorio de aspiradora, con bolsa, que se uniera al soplador y una extensión eléctrica larga? El abanico del soplador puesto en reversa halaría las hojas, picándolas en pedazos pequeños y echándolas en la bolsa la cual podrías depositarlas en un envase de abono, cuando estuviera llena, para reusarlo en el jardín. Tomaría mucho menos tiempo el terminar tu trabajo. Pudiera ser que ni sudaras, y todo, porque pediste ayuda.

Lo que pareciera ser imposible para nosotros es posible cuando le pedimos a Jesús que nos ayude. Nuestro Señor hizo cosas maravillosas. Cuando hizo un listado de sus obras para Juan el Bautista se las dijo en un orden muy interesante (vea Lucas 7:22):”los ciegos ven, los cojos andan, los que tienen lepra son sanados, los sordos oyen, los muertos resucitan y a los pobres se les anuncian las buenas nuevas”. Jesús es un gran sanador de enfermedades y discapacidades. Más importante aún, él ve, como el mejor trabajo u obra, el decirle a otros que posiblemente no tengan mucha oportunidad de escuchar el mensaje, que Dios los ama. ¿No es maravilloso?

¿Crees que puedes hacer la obra de Jesús? Jesús cree que puedes y te ayudará si se lo pides. (Mencione alguna obra que haya hecho su iglesia que hubiese sido imposible sin la ayuda de Dios). Si alguien me hubiese preguntado 20 años atrás, cuando comencé a ayudar los sermones de los niños, ¿por qué no vas a 205 países del mundo y compartes con 70,000 personas al mes acerca de Jesús?, probablemente le hubiese dicho “eso es imposible”. Le pedí a Jesús que me ayudara en el lugar que estaba y con lo que tenía. Llegó el internet, y lo que comenzó humildemente como un compartir ideas con otros que estaban haciendo el mismo trabajo, se ha convertido en lo que creía que no podría lograrse. ¡Jesús obtiene todo el crédito! ¡Tremendo!

Oremos. Querido Señor Jesús, tú continúas asombrándonos con tu obras poderosas. Ayúdanos el contarle a otros acerca de ti doquiera estemos. Ayúdanos a hacer obras poderosas en tu nombre. Amén.
