Texto: Apocalispsis 19:7-9

Objeto: Un póster de la Invitación o una mujer con su vestido de novia.

Resumen: Jesús (el Cordero de Dios) llevará a cabo una cena de matrimonio (la iglesia) en el cielo. Solamente serán permitidos aquellos que tengan vestiduras de boda.

¿Cuantos de ustedes han ido a una boda? ¿Alguna vez notaron que en una boda todos están vestidos con ropa linda? Una boda es siempre una ocasión feliz. Cuando se unen en matrimonio el hombre y la mujer se vuelven una sola persona en los ojos de Dios. (Génesis 2:24) La Biblia habla de un tiempo en que los creyentes de Cristo estarían unidos juntos con Jesús en el cielo. El matrimonio será de Jesús y Su novia, la iglesia. Habrá un gran banquete o cena llevada a cabo en ese tiempo. Es llamada la cena matrimonial del Cordero en el Libro de Revelación.

Jesús es el Cordero de Dios. Su muerte en la cruz fue un sacrificio por los pecados de todos los que vivieron. Jesús tiene una novia. La novia es su iglesia de creyentes. Él nos ha dado a todos lo que creen en él una vestidura. Esa vestidura es de lino fino, limpio y blanco. Esa vestidura de boda respresenta nuestra virtuosidad. Virtuosidad es una gran palabra que significa ser buenos. Ahora sabemos que no podemos ser buenos por nuestra propia cuenta. Cuando aceptamos a Jesús como nuestro Salvador así es como nos da toda su bondad. Así que nuestra “virtuosidad” no es totalmente nuestra, es un regalo de Dios para nosotros. La virtuosidad de Dios será nuestra vestidura de bodas.

El ángel dijo Escribe, benditos son aquellos que son llamados a la cana del matrimonio del Cordero. Ser bendecidos es estar felices porque Dios ha hecho algo especial. Jesús dijo que mucha gente ha de creer en él, pero no todos los que escuchan la buena noticia creerán en él como su Salvador. Jesús una vez contó una parábola acerca de un rey que hizo un matrimonio por su hijo. (Mateo 22:2-14). Una de las personas mostraba no tener vestiduras de boda. El rey hechó a esa persona de la boda. Si tratamos de llegar por nuestra propia cuenta, confiando en todas las cosas buenas que hemos hecho, seremos como esa persona que no tenía vestiduras de boda. Si confiamos en Jesús como nuestro Salvador, luego nos dará nuestras vestiduras de boda para usar en su futura boda. Recuerden que la próxima vez que asistan a una boda que Dios tendrá una boda un día, un día que ustedes han sido invitados a asistir.
