candleResumo: Dizem que você deve compartilhar o amor e o perdão de Deus com todas as pessoas, inclusive com seus inimigos.

A maioria de nós não usa velas grandes a não ser que acabe a luz em nossas casas durante tempestades. Muitos anos atrás, antes que fosse comum ter energia elétrica nas casas, as pessoas usavam velas à noite. [Mostre a vela.) Hoje vamos ouvir o que Jesus falou sobre isso.

Um dia, Jesus estava falando ao pé de uma montanha, ajudando pessoas a entenderem como deveriam se comportar e tratar o próximo. Ele falou principalmente sobre amor e perdão. Perdoar significa deixar de lado qualquer sentimento de ofensa ou mágoa. Jesus disse até mesmo que devemos amar nossos inimigos, as pessoas que nos odeiam.

Depois de ter testemunhado o amor e o perdão de Deus, entendemos algo que muitas pessoas não sabem. Jesus disse para compartilharmos isso com todo mundo, incluindo nossos inimigos.

Aqui está o que Jesus disse: (Leia Mateus 5:14-16].

Jesus usou alguns exemplos. Um, era de que uma cidade em uma colina poderia ser vista de muito longe (Jerusalém era uma cidade em uma colina). Outro era acender uma vela para iluminar um quarto, e não esconder a luz embaixo de uma bacia. Jesus explicou que nosso conhecimento era uma “luz” em nossos corações – eliminando a “escuridão” de não sentir quão maravilhoso é o amor de Deus. Agora que você sabe disso, deixe essa luz brilhar. Ou como disse Jesus, “deixe sua luz brilhar” para o próximo ver quão bem você trata a todos, e como você agradece e louva a Deus por ter sido abençoado com esse ensinamento.

Alguns de vocês devem conhecer uma música cristã chamada “A Pequenina Luz”, e parte da letra dela diz “Vou deixar, vou deixar, vou deixar brilhar e brilhar”. Hoje e todos os dias, deixe sua compreensão do amor e do perdão de Deus brilhar pelo mundo para que todos possam ver.
